One of my biggest heroes in my life has been Carol Burnett, actress/comedienne. I even decided to cut my hair short because I wanted to become more like her. She is always quick on her feet and witty. She has always had big goals that she has set her eyes on and and achieved them. I ache to have the same self confidence that she does. She gets along with anyone and everyone she meets. I check out a book called This Time We Have Together written by Carol Burnett herself. It is just a compilation of stories and anecdotes that have happened throughout her life. It was a fun and easy read but I loved how it was written in her voice. She just shines though the pages. As I read found a deeper love and appreciation for her talents and all that she has accomplished. I definitely recommend this book to anyone who would like a laugh or two and who wants a thought provoking book.

The book that Alaura checked out is called How to Be a Hepburn in a Hilton World written by Jordan Christy. I haven't read the book yet but I'm next in line to get it. Alaura and I were discussing some of the issues that are brought up in this book. She said that it teaches girls how to have good manners and etiquette. It also talks about making the boys chase girls instead of girls being to easy to get. This book celebrates womanhood. I am very excited to read this book because I also admire Audrey Hepburn for all of her accomplishments and talents. Plus, she is extremely beautiful. (She also had short hair like mine. :D) I would recommend this book as well for any woman who would like to raise the bar and have a little bit more refinement.
