I Didn't Know That!

I'm working on my online homework today and part of my assignment was to watch this clip:

It's about copyright laws, public domain and fair use. All of this is taught by Disney characters. I had to watch it twice. First to see how many movies I could recognize, then second to actually listen to what they are actually saying. You may think it's a little boring but I have to admit it gave me the giggles. Hey, you may actually learn something...

Welcome Home...

I just got back from the long weekend and found out that

Dale is DEAD.... :(

Note to Self: Take fish home with you next time.

1 Fish, 2 Fish, White Fish, Blue Fish

I had very vivid dream about pets last night, cats mostly. (Reminder: In dreams I don't have allergies.) This created a slight problem when I woke up this morning. I was expecting to be snuggled up with a couple of cats. This made me sad to wake up and find that I was only petting waded up bunches of blanket. I, then, became motivated for the mission of the day. Get a pet fish (only because they are the only allowed pets for college students. Plus they are just decoration anyway. You can't pet, cuddle or play catch with them.)

My original thought was just get one Betta fish from Walmart, no biggie. Walmart only had girl Bettas. Not saying that the girls can't be pretty but they don't have the long ornate fins like the males and all of the girls at Walmart were a yuck brownish blackish ugly color. I left and made my way to Pet Smart.

That's when I found them. The two beauties (two because they were on sale) that are going to keep me company in my big room all to myself. Ladies and gentlemen I give you Chip & Dale!

This is Chip. (He didn't like that I used the flash but it was the only good picture I could get of him.) His name is Chip because He has patches of dark purple that look like chocolate chips to me. He is feisty. I watched him flare up and try to fight the fish in the cup next to him on the shelf at the store. I like me a fish with some fight.
Next we have Dale. Dale kinda has a red on his nose like Dale the chipmunk. He is pretty calm and keeps his cool much better than Chip. He also is a little shy when I get close to his bowl. Dale seems to be a level headed fish and doesn't freak out like Chip does. He's the perfect counter part of the duo.
I decided to get one white fish and one blue fish because those are Aggie colors and I don't have to dress them up as little mascots for the sports games because they already have their game on! Now I just need to find something like a multiple cup holder you get at fast food restaurants to be able to bring them to and from Logan on long weekends and school breaks...

Perplex, Mystify, Bewilder, Confound

Something, such as a game, toy, or problem, that requires ingenuity and often persistence in solving or assembling.

It's a riddle. Have you figured it out yet? The answer is: PUZZLE. I love puzzles. All shapes, sizes, colors, putting them together alone or with a friend, landscapes, photos, art pieces, ect. During the holiday break I put together the total of 6 puzzles. My grandma has a large collections of puzzles and I went to her to see if I could borrow any and these are the ones that I completed.

I couldn't contain myself I was extremely excited to get started on this M*A*S*H puzzle. This 250 piece beauty only took me about 3 hours (or 3 Bones episodes and 1 Big Bang Theory) to complete.
Next, I tore into a retro puzzle for kids and teens in the late sixties. This presented a challenge because some of the pieces were the exact shade of green. The fun part was that all of the pieces had different shapes. And, yes, that is a piece missing. (I don't think it was me who lost it.)

This one was the hardest out of all of them. It was a great challenge. I have always loved Norman Rockwell's artwork. His paintings really are worth a thousand words and more. This 500 piece took me a total of about 5.5 to 6 hours to finish. That's 3 full length movies plus some special features or 4 Bones episodes plus commercials.

Someday when they create a job that all you do is puzzles all day long and get paid to do it, I will be the first in line for that job.

She Sells Sea Shells

I apologize for being a boring blogger during the Christmas break. Here is a little up date about what has been on my mind:

Dear friends, I want to go to the beach. I want to walk in the sand and let the waves wash up on my legs. I want to pick up sea shells, take pictures, watch a sunset. I want to sit in a hamock and just relax in the sun and let all of my worries float away on the waves. Yep, I think I'm in love. :D
