I will have to say that my first day of school has been quite an interesting one. Let's start with this morning...I woke up and got on my computer to see if I was still on the wait list for my STAT 1040 class. I had been stressing about it. Being number one on the wait list gave me hope that I would hopefully get into the class. So, this morning I see that I got an email saying that I better hurry up and sign into the class. Then I promptly went to the website and added the class. No hassle, no worries! I got in the class I needed. It was going to be a great day!

My first two classes went wonderfully. Half of the people in my first class (Music for Elementary Education Teachers) are also in my second class (PE for Elementary Education Teachers)! Funny thing is that I already know most of them from previous classes! Yahoo!!! It was quite the party.
So then...
I walked home and got some lunch and changed my books out for the next set of classes. I also wanted to see if my room-roommate finally made it. I was concerned whether she didn't want to move in because the thought of me was too scary or if something bad had happened to her or whatever. When I got home there was still an empty bed in my room. So I enjoyed lunch in the silence of my room...for only about two minutes and I put music on. :D
Continuing on...
I then went to my next class which was supposed to be a STATs recitation, but when I got there no one was there! No one even pretended to show up. I was concerned that I had the wrong room or something so I went to look it up, only to find out the class is on Wednesdays and Fridays. I really needed the signature of the instructor so that I could also add this class. (Don't worry, I found out later that I don't need that class!) Deciding that I would wait till Wednesday to track him down I went in search of my next class.

When I came out of Old Main I was greeted by a wild, wet, wonder of a rainstorm. It poured and poured and kept pouring. The view of the Quad and the rest of campus was so pretty. There was about six of us standing under the outcropping of the building watching the rain fall and the people running through the puddles trying to stay dry and failing. I could have stood there all day however I needed to get to the Family Life building so I joined the failing raindrop dodgers and when I arrived I was waterlogged. Despite the squishy sound my shoes made I had to keep looking for my class. While walking to my next class (Child Guidance) I ran into my friend Anna from last year. Come to find out, she's in that class too! We had a great time catching up on our summer adventures and deciding when we would study together. We also walked back to the TSC in the rain that never stopped pouring.
After another quick break...
I followed my schedule to Photography. This class is going to be AMAZING!!! I'm so excited to be able to learn about how film works, what makes a great picture, how to develop film and all that great stuff! However, it is going to cost an arm and a leg but I feel that it will be so fantastic and fun that it will be worth it to pay all that money. I can't wait to get started!

I finally arrived at my STATs class that I was so blessed to get into this morning. I found a seat and pulled out my note book and made a new friend. (I had to make a new friend because I didn't know anyone in this class.) Ironically the red headed girl's name I befriended is Ginger. :D She said that she was number two on the waiting list for that class and she got in this morning too. She was the one that informed me that we didn't need to be signed up for a recitation class. *Whew!* She was so sweet to me and we became fast friends. Then our instructor came in. He is the coolest guy I've ever met! I believe that he is from Africa because he had the neatest accent. It was hard at times to understand what he was saying was his accent was so beautiful and his jokes were so funny I didn't notice after a while. I have the feeling that I will really like this class.
Finally...
I made it home safe and sound. I see that my roommate has moved in but no one has seen her yet. I'll have to run into her eventually, right? I'm tired and sore and I have a headache but all in all, I think I had a great first day of school. I'm happy with how everything has worked out. It's going to be a full, enriching, exciting semester.
And now for Day 2 of The Outfit Remix! My back to school outfit consists of nice dark Levi jeans, green sweater that makes my eyes pop, black classic jacket and the perfect green and black snot-rocket chunky necklace.
YAY! I LOVE BLOGGING NECIA. That is a title. I love 'blogging necia' she's the best ever. It does sound like a pretty great first day. :)
